Sally Townsend

Sally was appointed as Director of Finance in May 2009 where she is responsible for leading and managing Goldsmiths' finances.

Sally is a chartered accountant with experience of both financial and corporate planning. Her career has spanned the private and public sectors.

Background
After graduating with a BA in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Manchester, Sally trained with Deloitte before working in senior financial roles in the private sector including the European newspaper, M&C Saatchi both in London and New York, and at Burson-Marsteller. Shifting to the public sector she worked for the Cabinet Office and then became Director of Resources for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority. 

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Sally has an interest in coaching and recently completed a BSc in Psychology. Outside of work her interests include yoga, walking and literature.
