Hugh Jones

Registrar & Secretary

Accompanying image

Hugh left his native Sheffield with a heavy heart, to read Philosophy at the London School of Economics; he has subsequently held posts at Senate House, University of London, City University and latterly St George's, University of London, where he was Academic Registrar and Deputy-Director of Administration.

Hugh joined Goldsmiths in April 2007 in a new post combining the responsibilities of the former College Secretary and the Director of Resources & Planning, to head a newly unitary administration.

Hugh is a Fellow of the AUA, and holds an MA in Higher and Professional Education from the University of London Institute of Education.

Alongside Goldsmiths, Hugh pursues interests in football, rugby, cats and matters green. Hugh is a confirmed petrolhead insofar as that term relates to old, slow and low-mileage vehicles.
