Vancouver

Sara Bynoe (MA Creative and Life Writing, 2009) works in entertainment – everything from hosting alternative comedy shows to producing docu-style reality TV shows. Since graduating from Goldsmiths, Sara has worked with CBC Radio, GRB Entertainment (in association with Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery and TLC), PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, Vancouver International Fringe Festival, and her writing has been published in The Globe and Mail, Hazlit, Sad Mag and Poetry is Dead Magazine. The local media have called her a “Vancouver culture maven” (WestEnder) and a “talented and charming mover and shaker” (The Courier).

Toronto

Karina Griffith (MA Feature Film, 2011) is a Canadian visual artist and researcher based in Berlin and Toronto for over 10 years. A PhD candidate at the University of Toronto's Cinema Studies Institute and Centre for Diaspora and Transnational Studies, her research interests include Black authorship in German and Canadian cinema, critical ethnography, affect theory and creolization. Griffith's films and installations explore the themes of fear and fantasy, often focusing on how they relate to identity. She has fond memories of playing right full-back on the Goldsmiths’ football team and soaking up the independent film culture of London.
