The Academic Skills Centre runs a variety of one-to-one tutorials with our experienced team of academic lecturers, study skills tutors and professional writers.
Academic Skills Drop-in
Academic Skills Drop-ins resume week beginning 7 October.
These 30-minute sessions are given by the Academic Skills team.
When Thursday 10am-12pm and Friday 10am-12pm during term time. Times are subject to change during the holidays.
Where Opposite the Library helpdesk (ground floor)
Bring A piece of work to discuss and questions you would like answered
Booking Arrive up to 30 minutes before the first tutorial to register. The tutor will put out a white board with a sign-up sheet for you to register on. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
These tutorials will be limited to no more than 3 per term.
Royal Literary Fellows
These 50-minute tutorials are given by Royal Literary Fund Fellows (RLFs). Their main aim is to promote good writing practice across all disciplines. They are professional writers who help students improve their writing skills.

These 45-minute tutorials are given by specialist study skills tutors.

Cancellations Email the studentcentre (@gold.ac.uk) if you are unable to attend an appointment. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
These tutorials will be limited to no more than 3 per term and can only be booked up to four weeks in advance.
