Santander Graduate Internship Programme

Student page

In partnership with Santander, Goldsmiths Careers Service will be organising subsidised graduate internships with SMEs.

For the academic year 2019-2020, we will be offering a number of 8-10 week, full-time internships thanks to the support of the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme.

We believe that SMEs offer invaluable internship possibilities for graduates wanting to gain experience in relevant job sectors.

The internship scheme is 50% match-funded by Santander.

For example, you can recruit a Goldsmiths graduate for an 8-week full-time internship for £1477, with the other 50% being paid for by Santander.

To discuss this further please contact placements-internships (@gold.ac.uk).

Information for Graduates

The internships are paid at London Living Wage which is currently £10.55 per hour.

Graduates from all degree programmes, BA/MA are eligible to apply.

You will apply for these internships directly through the Placements and Internships team at Goldsmiths.

Information for Employers

We are looking for internship providers who can offer further employment once the internship has ended. The eligibility of organisations who can meet this requirement will be ascertained during initial discussions.

Goldsmiths will take care of the marketing and recruitment for the role, leaving you to shortlist, interview and appoint. We can recruit for these opportunities all year round, requiring at least two weeks to advertise your role properly.

Each employer can apply for funding for up to two roles a year.

In the past, interns have helped edit magazines, organise events, run social media campaigns, design marketing materials, conduct research projects and much more. We are always open to new ideas and projects so please do get in touch to find out more.

Unfortunately, we can only offer this funding to charities if Goldsmiths Placements and Internships team has previously had a relationship with them and the charity can confirm they will be able to offer further employment. If you are a charity we have never worked with before, please contact us to discuss this criterion further.

If we are unable to offer you a Santander internship, please chat to us to find out about other ways your organisation can work with Goldsmiths graduates and students.

Our email address is placements-internships (@gold.ac.uk).
