Event overview
Celebrate the launch of this wonderful new anthology written by London students
The Department of Educational Studies is delighted to announce that its Head of Department, Maggie Pitfield, will be presenting certificates and free copies of ‘My Life, My Stories’ to London students from various schools on Tuesday 3rd October, 3.30pm-5.30pm in RHB 137a.
This brilliant anthology contains students’ original writing about their lives and is very much in a radical tradition of learners being given the chance to write about their lives, with the most famous example being ‘Stepney Words’, spearheaded by a former Goldsmiths’ tutor, Chris Searle.
Do come along and celebrate the achievement of these students and their teachers, and creative writing mentors, who are all Goldsmiths MA students. Nibbles and drinks will be served!
The project has been sponsored by the department and Goldsmiths outreach team. We are hoping to continue it this year and make it even better by tying it in with the Arts Council Arts Award scheme.
