A master of the Chinese martial art, wing chun has to defeat a number of different martial arts schools in order to develop his own school, yet he has become a chess piece to the local power dynamics.
This action drama with gritty direction gives a thrilling insight into traditional Chinese martial arts and their distinctive role in terms of Chinese direction and cinematography.
The evening will include an introductory lecture by Xiao Gu, postgraduate of the National Film and Television School, who will be fielding questions from the audience.
The screening is free and open to all.
