Event overview
Fairy Tales and Folklore - What is your fairy tale, myth, or folklore?
With World Book Day coming up, parents and kids around the world will be preparing elaborate costumes based on their favourite book characters, with fairy tales being a popular source of inspiration. But, why are fairy tales and legends so enduringly popular?
All cultures have a diverse range of fairy tales, myths, and folklore, and these stories often have basis in the thoughts, beliefs, and even fears of the people. From Britain’s legend of King Arthur, to China’s mythic Nezha (哪吒), why do people continue to be enchanted by these stories even to this day? And how has sharing these tales changed over time?
Join us for the upcoming Sino-UK, where we will share some of our favourite fairy tales, myths, and folklore!
