Online talks in Mandarin Chinese on the past, present and future of Chinese arts practice, exploring research and creative practice in relation to Chinese dance and the arts.
Join us here at Goldsmiths Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance in celebrating 10 years of the department.
We will be marking the occasion with an exciting three days of talks, seminars and webinars from eminent guest speakers from around the globe as they explore Chinese art, book culture, language acquisition, social sciences, film, dance, theatre and philosophy and an array of other disciplines relating to Chinese culture, language and society.
The Past, Present, Future Forum offers a platform for interdisciplinary discussion and critical engagement.
We will be welcoming experts from the British Museum, the British library and leading academics and researchers (from institutions, such as, University College London, Kings College London and the University of Oxford, among others) as they share their perspectives, experiences and research and reflect on the past, present and future of Chinese arts practice, Chinese language acquisition and the evolution of Chinese society as a whole.
The conference will provide the opportunity to meet and engage with a community of people interested in Chinese arts, language acquisition and society who hail from a variety of different disciplines and research backgrounds.
The Past, Present, Future Forum is free and open to all.
Please note the online talks and webinars on the 16th June will be conducted in Mandarin Chinese only, the in-person conference on the 17th and 19th June will be conducted in English only.
