New Cross Road (Zion) Baptist Church
We are are multinational gathering of Reformed Baptists holding to the London Baptist Confession of 1689. Our congregation is made up of all ages and has folks from the West Indies, Africa and Eastern Europe among its membership as well as a number of indigenous English people. Blackheath Quaker Meeting (Religious Society of Friends)
Quaker Meetings, whether for worship or business affairs, depend on joint responsibility, as Quakers have no priests. Worship is based on silence with some brief spoken contributions. We are a small vibrant church actively engaged with the local community + committed to equipping people as apprentices of Jesus in their everyday lives.
We meet every Sunday afternoon except the third Sunday of each month when instead we have s p a c e on the Friday night - we eat together and explore contemporary issues from a Christian perspective or alternative forms of worship or hold community events.
On Sundays we usually start with EDGE at 3.45pm (theme based prayer and ministry time). Our main time together is from 4.30pm onwards until about 6.00pm, followed by tea and toast. (We enjoy socializing and eating together!)
