Research Interests

My main research interests are the work of A.N.Whitehead and the interrelation of philosophy and social theory, including questions surrounding subjectivity, materiality, the body, abstraction, and capitalism. I have recently published a book titled: A.N.Whitehead and Social Theory. Tracing a Culture of Thought (Anthem Press, 2011). I am currently in the midst of co-editing a book on the intersections of the work of Judith Butler and A.N.Whitehead which is due for publication in early 2012. Other recent publications include: 'Science, Concepts and the Social Environment' in Theory of Science, 33:1 and 'John Dewey sur la Possession: l'Expérience, la Co-appartenenance et la philosophie adverbiale' , in Philosophies de Possession, Debaise, D. (ed), Paris, Vrin (in press).
