Lyu Yulan graduated with a B.A from Beijing Language and Culture University and then furthered her education at Beijing Normal University, receiving a PH.D. degree in 2005. She has taught Chinese as a foreign Language at Capital Normal University as well as working as a visiting lecturer at Technology Institute of Bremen, Germany in and George Washington University. Lyu Yulan has taught various courses including Elementary Chinese, Intermediate Chinese, Advanced Chinese Writing, Chinese Culture, and Case Analysis in Chinese as a Second Language. She mainly focuses her research on Language Teaching Methodology.
