"Feast" by Eunji Han, MA show 2015

The Design Department at Goldsmiths opens its doors annually for a series of free events bringing together some of the most significant names in the design industry, and showcasing the incredible work of its staff and students. The Goldsmiths Design Festival hosts the MA Design programmes' degree shows, as well as a wide range of additional events and performances.

The first festival was open from 3rd-9th September 2015 all around campus, and included exhibitions, guest lectures, workshops, drone-building, inflatables, artistic nudity, activism, craft beer and poetry readings.

In 2016, the Festival returned as part of the London Design Festival, with workshops, talks, a fashion show on the London Underground and many other Design happenings. All events took place in the St James Hatcham gallery, from 15 to 18 September 2016.

The third festival took place from 14-17 September 2017, including, amongst other events, a talk on sustainable fashion, a game designed to highlight the plight of refugees and a scripted reading set in a future utopia.
