Mikko Gordon - Head of the Goldsmiths Music Studios

Mikko Gordon has worked as Producer and Engineer since graduating from Goldsmiths, the University of London with a degree in Music. During this time he has worked with artists such as Thom Yorke, Pete Townshend, Gaz Coombes (Supergrass), Chris Difford (Squeeze), FEMME, Fred Deakin (Lemonjelly) as well as brands such as Adidas, Intel, Nokia and Reebok. He is responsible for the design of the Goldsmiths Music Studios. 

Between 2012 - 2014 Mikko worked for and learnt from Radiohead Producer Nigel Godrich. Following that he has been learning from Tchad Blake (Black Keys, Artic Monkeys).

Sean Woodlock - Head Engineer

Sean has been the Head Engineer since the studio opened in 2013. In that time he has worked on a number of high profile sessions including recordings for the London Contemporary Orchestra and Chroma. Sean also Engineered for Globally acclaimed composer Paola Prestini for her Album Oceanic Verses.

Alongside working at the GMS, Sean is the Owner of Hackney Road Studios, a successful studio in the heart of Shoreditch that has been running for over seven years.

Recent clients include, Alexis taylor, Comet is coming and Nick Mulvey.

Nicholas Powell - Engineer

Graduating from Goldsmiths College in 2011, Nick began his journey at the GMS in 2013, assisting Mikko Gordon and Sean Woodlock on various sessions. As both a guitarist and Studio/Mix Engineer he has worked with artists such as Comet Is Coming, Nearly Native, Athlete Whippet, FEMME, and Leyendekker.

Tomáš Kaspar - Engineer

After graduating from Goldsmiths in 2015, Tomáš spent several years as a guitarist and musician in multiple bands. Following this, he trained through the GMS Assistant Engineer PPS programme and now is one of our Engineers. During this time he has worked with Leifur James (Night Time Stories), Arlo Day (Domino) and Don’t Forget the Driver (BBC2). Tomáš is also involved in the outreach project Alchemy, working with young people from Lewisham schools within the Goldsmiths Music department.
