Katharina is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Marketing at the University of Birmingham. Her research focuses on how branded entertainment and new product placement modalities are currently transforming the creative industries. Prior to commencing her PhD studies, she was employed as a research assistant at Goldsmiths within the Institute of Management Studies working on a project about mobile payments and real-time marketing funded by Innovate UK. Katharina has further worked in marketing across a range of industries predominately in film and music, but also in tourism and personal care.
