Goldsmiths Humanitarian Scholarship

Applications for this scholarship are now closed.

There are two awards available to Palestinian students studying for a postgraduate taught programme taught Masters degree at Goldsmiths. The scholarship provides full tuition fees and living costs for one year, as well as airfares to and from the UK. 

To be eligible to apply you must have received an offer for a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2018 and have an international fee liability. You will also need to demonstrate academic excellence and/or significant achievement in your chosen field of study.

Award value

  • Full tuition fee waiver
  • £11,400 for each year of study
  • Return flights to your home country

Eligibility

Applications are welcome from Palestinian nationals living inside and outside of the Palestinian territory.

Please note that you will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship if you:

  • Are currently studying in the UK
  • Are currently resident in the UK
  • Already hold a Masters qualification

How to apply

Your scholarship application should be completed online through your myGoldsmiths account. This is the online account that you created in order to apply for a course at Goldsmiths.

As part of the application, you will be asked to answer four questions relevant to the award that you are applying for. Our scholarships are highly competitive, so it is important that in your answer to these questions you provide all the relevant information that you can.

Supporting documents
We require the following supporting documents in order for your scholarship application to be considered:
  • Photocopies of official college or university degree certificates and transcripts.
  • Two academic references relating to your current or most recent course, or professional references if appropriate. 

As long as your Postgraduate study application has these documents attached, then it will not be necessary for you to upload any additional documents as part of your scholarship application. 

When to apply

Applications open: Monday, 22 January 2018.

Deadline for applications: Friday, 20 April 2018 12 noon GMT.

Selection criteria

All applications will be assessed on academic merit and potential to contribute to the life of the college – financial circumstances will not be taken into account.
