Kate Morris is a news journalist with over 15 years' experience on local, regional and national publications.
She is programme convenor of the BA Journalism programme.
Her career started on the Richmond and Twickenham Times where she was chief reporter and news editor. She then moved to the Evening Standard and Metro as a news reporter before a spell in Australia on the newspaper MX as chief sub and section editor.
Later roles included assistant news editor on the Independent and The i, where she regularly ran the desk and a team of 20-plus reporters.
She also has magazine experience, working as managing editor of the University of Cambridge's alumni publication CAM.
She began teaching journalism at Goldsmiths in 2011.
