The collaborative nature of my course was instrumental in preparing me for the future. First and second year were very teamwork-heavy and there are a range of transferable skills that I gained from having to work with a variety of people such as communication, organisation, and empathy.

The GoldReach Insight Week was another instrumental factor in preparing me for the job I'm doing now. Due to COVID-19 this Civil Service and UX Research Insight Week was remote so it allowed me to get used to a remote working environment, which I'm now working in! I'm really glad I decided to apply for this Insight Week because it gave me a brief taster into the world of civil service and UX research and gave me the chance to actually speak to professionals about what their jobs are like - an opportunity you don't get every day.
