"I found out about Goldsmiths when researching master’s programmes in the marketing field. The process of applying to graduate school in the US is more complicated, as there is an exam to take and application fees to pay beforehand. Applying abroad was free, and a fairly quick process, so I thought I would give it a shot. Goldsmiths, in particular, had an interesting marketing programme that was technology-based, which seemed like the right fit for me, as I was pursuing web design and development prior to coming to Goldsmiths.
My course in Marketing and Technology has been a good experience so far. The college atmosphere has been fine, and I do not feel as out-of-place as I had expected, which is a relief. The library has been an essential place to get work done.
As for the location, it has been convenient to meet up with friends and coursemates not only on campus, but also in cafes and pubs around New Cross. I do enjoy living in London and having access to the rest of the city so easily via public transport. Because the city is so vast, it is a little overwhelming not knowing the boroughs and areas, but it has only been a couple of months so far. I can see myself still living in London after I graduate, although it will completely depend on the ease of finding a job. I imagine that life as a student in London is different from life as a professional in London, and I would like to experience both."
