"The most important aspect of making our film proved to be our thorough preparation. Testing ideas and analysing our script thoroughly enabled us to enter the shooting phase with a knowledge base solid enough to address the issues that occurred during filming. In this way, we were able to respond to restricted location accessibility, scheduling changes and countless unexpected obstacles. Moreover, having put so much effort into the creation of the shooting documents, we were essentially liberated from them. Hence, we were in a strong position to make informed last-minute decisions and implement changes, which virtually always improved the narrative of our film, and resulted in a more engaging experience for our audience."
