MRes History

The MRes provides excellent preparation for study at MPhil/PhD level for students with a defined research topic, but is also a degree in its own right.

Why study History at Goldsmiths?

History at Goldsmiths is interdisciplinary, comparative and research-led. Our staff are award-winning experts in their fields, specialising in the history of Africa, Asia and Europe, with particular strengths concentrated around three research clusters: 

  • History of medicine, emotions and the body
  • Military history
  • History of the Balkans/East-Central Europe/Russia

Masters students can take modules in other departments and at other University of London institutions, providing a very broad choice of study options.
