Peter is a teaching fellow in the Department. He joined the Department from Ludwig-Maximilian-University, Munich, where he was a postdoctoral fellow. Alongside his teaching, he carries out research on judgment and decision making, reasoning and argumentation, and persuasion. He also researches psycholinguistics: in particular, how we use linguistic and social cues to mean more than we say. He is developing applications for his research, for instance, to health communication.

Peter has held studentships from the AHRC and the ESRC and a postdoctoral research fellowship from the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
