Louis is a Teaching Fellow at Goldsmiths University and also a member of the APA (Art Performance Aesthetics) lab. He teaches lab classes on the undergraduate (Research Methods in Psychology; Design and Analysis of Psychological Investigations) and postgraduate programmes (Multivariate Statistical Methods).
Louis’ research examines the relationships between the creation and perception of art. He is particularly interested in understanding aesthetic judgements of art when perceivers have an insight into the art-making process. In addition, he incorporates eye-tracking techniques into his research both as an additional measure of aesthetic preference and to further understand eye movements when observing art.
