Goldsmiths aims to ensure a high-quality learning experience through a commitment to excellence and innovation in learning and teaching; an up-to-date and stimulating learning environment; and a reflective and well-designed curriculum, which supports the aspirations of students, the needs of society, and the enhancement of teaching quality.

The College's Quality Office manages and oversees policies and procedures to assure the standards of its awards and the quality of learning opportunities and to support the enhancement of learning and teaching. We also ensure these policies and procedures are robust and effective in maintaining and monitoring the standards of Goldsmiths' academic awards and in supporting the enhancement of the student learning experience.

Key quality assurance processes the Office manages and supports, include: programme design, approval, reapproval, amendment and closure; annual department development planning; module evaluation; the external examining system; accreditations of programmes by Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs); and periodic internal and external reviews.

The team work closely with academic and administrative departments across the College, particularly Academic Partnerships, the College's programmes offered through the University of London Worldwide, the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TaLIC), and the Students' Union.

We provide information and guidance on quality assurance at Goldsmiths, primarily through the policies and procedures available on these web pages. We also offer information, training and advice to staff and students on these processes.

The Quality Office is based in the Richard Hoggart Building (RHB 115-116). Please feel free to contact us at any time.
