Bodies, Minds, Society
The connection between these elements can improve our understanding of the world and understand the impact we have upon it.
Research theme overview
We are focused on exploring the connections between our bodies, our minds and our society, to better understand the world, and our past and future place in it. Why? To create inclusive approaches and initiatives which can make a positive difference to human experience.
Here at Goldsmiths, we’re looking at this topic from wide range of discipline backgrounds – exploring in theory and practice - working together on this vital topic, to make a difference.
Our activities are focused in three main areas: Health, Citizenship and Participation; Interrogating Gender; and Wellbeing in Context. We’re engaged in public dialogues, in fieldwork with the public in Goldsmiths’ local area, and working with industry, government and the third sector to realise impact in the world outside Goldsmiths.
We have ambitious plans for many more activities and are always open to conversations with new partners, so if you have an idea to discuss please get in touch!
