GREAT Scholarships 2022 (India and Pakistan)

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Goldsmiths, University of London is offering 2 scholarships to students in India and Pakistan applying for postgraduate-taught courses in the following departments: Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship; Computing, Design; Institute of Management Studies; Psychology; and Politics and International Relations.
The GREAT Scholarships 2022 programme, launched by the British Council together with 41 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Thailand to access world-class UK higher education opportunities. The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.

Applicants can apply for this opportunity once an offer of a place to study at Goldsmiths is accepted. Awards will be based on a combination of academic merit and the information given on the application form.
For the India GREAT Scholarship, students must have accepted their offer for one of the taught postgraduate courses within the following departments:
- Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship
- Design
- Institute of Management Studies
- Computing
- Psychology
For the Pakistan GREAT Scholarship, students must have accepted their offer for one of the taught postgraduate courses within the following departments:
Please note that applicants must be passport holders of the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, respectively.

How to apply
1. Apply to Goldsmiths for a Course of Study
Complete the application process for your chosen course of study. This will usually require an interview and the submission of a statement with your application to Goldsmiths – this statement should address why you should be accepted onto your chosen course, and particularly your academic suitability for the course. The decision-making process for admission to a course of study at Goldsmiths will be independent of the scholarship application.
2. Complete an online application form
To be considered for this funding opportunity, please complete our online application form. You will be asked to describe in no more than 500 words why you feel you should be awarded this partial fee waiver and how your chosen programme would help you with your future career.

Selection process
Successful candidates will be selected on a competitive basis.
It is planned that successful candidates will be contacted via email before the end of June 2022.
