Goldsmiths works closely with local schools to raise the aspirations of young people in Secondary Education, offering access to our world-leading academic and creative institution.
Key Stage 3 (Year 7-9)
Our taster days give students in Years 7-9 a sense of what university is like and how they can progress into higher education. Each day is tailored to the individual year group, but typically includes workshops, campus tours, and a chance to talk to current students.
We are also proud to be part of The Ladders Project, a collaborative project between Goldsmiths Outreach Team and the Trippplicate Theatre Group, designed to help students build their own progression pathways.
Quotes from students:
“All my questions were answered and I saw what university was really like”
“I learnt that university is fun and helps you to be much more independent”
Key Stage 4 (Year 10-11)
Taster Days for students in Years 10 and 11 offer a chance to get a sense of university life and start students thinking about their options, both post-16 and beyond. These can be general sessions, or can be tailored around individual subject areas.
We would be delighted to attend any relevant events hosted by schools and colleges, such as careers fairs, options days, progression events, and parents' evenings.
We also run Art and Design Saturday Club, a FREE weekly club for 14-16 year-olds.
