Starting to think about university can be a daunting process, and for many young people higher education can remain relatively unknown until Year 13, when you have to make decisions that will shape your future.

Subject Discovery Days aim to give you a sense of what it might be like to study at university level, and to start conversations to help you think about the options available to you so that, when the time comes, you can make informed choices.
- Subject Discovery Days are for students in Year 12.
- Bookings can be made individually or through a school group.
- For group bookings, we can offer up to 30 places per school, per day. Please be aware that you may be joined by another school booking.
We are happy to accept requests from all local schools to attend Subject Discovery Days. However, we will give priority to schools that meet our Widening Participation criteria: those with a high proportion of pupil premium students or care-leavers, and schools situated in POLAR 1 and 2 quintiles.
Dates for Subject Discovery Days 2021 have not been confirmed. You can sign up to be the first to know when dates become available.
A typical Subject Discovery Day runs from 9.45am – 2.40pm and will include subject taster sessions, campus or department tour, a Q&A with a current student, and a session with our Careers Service.
