The best way to achieve fluency in a foreign language is to learn new interesting concepts and ideas that you do not already know in your native language. This 10-week course has been specifically designed for non-native English speakers who wish to further their knowledge of English while learning about Psychology. As psychology is relevant to all areas of life, this course is useful to everyone.

Every session lasts 2.5 hours: two hours given by leading experts, and a 30-minute Q&A session and informal discussion over a drink, which will allow you to socialise with and speak to other parcticipants.

This course will enable you to expand your English vocabulary, and develop your receptive and productive skills in the English language while engaging with fascinating psychological concepts and discoveries. All sessions tie in with each other and are flexibly delivered to meet participants’ needs.

Each week will focus on the development of vocabulary and speaking skills as well as understanding subject-specific spoken and written language. Each week will explore different psychological topics, including personality, human mind processes and influences, consciousness, attribution errors, cognitive biases, hedonic and eudemonic motivations, and much more.

Goldsmiths' Department of Psychology has a global reputation for academic excellence, and this interactive course is taught in small groups by a team of psychologists, educationalists and second language teaching experts.
