Course overview
This course in Kungfu teaches you the ancient martial arts of China.
Increase your strength, flexibility and coordination with our Kung Fu Martial Arts Class. Learn traditional Chinese martial arts movements and techniques which can help towards health and fitness whilst being a fast and controlled sport. Learning a wide range of conditioning exercises such as stances, stretching, striking and meditation which will prepare you and work this into a defence routine. This course starts from beginner level whilst developing the level throughout the weeks.
Lv Dawei will introduce students to the internal art of Xingyi (5 element boxing) and instruct on the health benefits of martial arts. Lv will also teach simple exercises that you can use to help create strength and flexibility.

About your teacher, Hongli Zeng
This short course will be taught by highly accomplished master of Chinese martial arts, Hongli Zeng. Hongli is one of China's premeir martial arts athlete and specializes in Chinese kung fu and tai chi. She possesses years of experience in teaching Chinese martial arts short courses with the department.

Goldsmiths Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance is an academic department of Goldsmiths, University of London.
