Chasity "Nao" Johnson
Chasity “Nao” Johnson is an Emmy-award winning content creator and digital communications strategist with more than 10 years of industry experience.
Prior to moving to the UK from the USA, Chasity worked with the likes of the Chicago Tribune and NBC5 Chicago as a content creator, where she won an Emmy award for Outstanding Achievement for Alternate Media/New Media Interactivity as a part of the NBC5 Chicago Street Team.
While in the US, she also worked for the U.S. Department of Defense as a public affairs specialist where her responsibilities, included the facilitation of military participation in major motion pictures, including Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Contagion.
As a seasoned digital communications strategist on the freelance and agency side, Chasity’s skill set includes:
- Helping clients identify their core communications problems and developing strategies for surmounting them
- Ideating and developing native content that resonates with target audiences while reflecting client objectives
- Developing digital and social media campaigns and strategies
- Influencer marketing strategies

About the department
Our Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship (ICCE) is an academic department with expertise and experience in developing and supporting new business initiatives. ICCE is Goldsmiths’ response to the growing significance of the creative industries and cultural sector. With creative industries and the cultural sector becoming more and more important to the UK’s growing economy, ICCE specialises in providing business skills, management skills and entrepreneurial skills with a specific understanding for the creative sector. Engagement with the creative industries and the not-for-profit cultural sector has long existed across many of Goldsmiths’ academic departments and research centres, and ICCE was created to formalise many of these existing, interdisciplinary areas of research.
