Jasenka is a Bosnia-based Research Associate working on the ERC funded project ‘The Gender of Justice: The Prosecution of Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict’ with Kirsten Campbell as principal investigator.
Jasenka graduated from the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Law and the Academy of Music in 2008. She was awarded her LL.M in 2012 at the Faculty of Law in Sarajevo.
In parallel with pursuing postgraduate studies Jasenka completed two-year internship at the Criminal Defense Section of the Registry of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and started working as Assistant Legal Adviser in the Legal Department of the Registry of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2011 and 2012 she also participated in Sari Wastell’s ERC funded project "Bosnian Bones, Spanish Ghosts: 'Transitional Justice' and the Legal Shaping of Memory after Two Modern Conflicts' as Junior Socio-Legal Researcher.
Jasenka's professional and academic interests cluster around international criminal law, focusing particularly on war crimes prosecutions.
