16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence

Goldsmiths is taking part in 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the human rights campaign supported by the United Nations.

Primary page content

The campaign calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls and runs from the 25 November - 10 December 2019.

The UN reports that one in three women experience physical and/or sexual violence at some point in their lives – more information on this can be found on the UN’s website.

Events and training sessions

Goldsmiths and Goldsmiths Students’ Union are joining together to hold a series of events and training sessions as part of our shared Against Sexual Violence campaign, which aims to eradicate sexual violence on campus.

Students can register for events with the links below using their Goldsmiths IT username and password. Staff members are not required to register.

Taking action on campus

Last year we launched Report and Support, an online reporting tool which allows anyone who has experienced sexual violence, harassment, misconduct, stalking or domestic violence to report incidents to Goldsmiths.

Reports can either be submitted with contact details or anonymously. The College has dedicated and trained response teams who are committed to taking action where appropriate.

As part of this campaign, we’re pledging to release the Report and Support statistics from the previous year.
