Imperfect generation

Food is all the substances that are necessary for digestion to keep us alive.

One third of the food we buy in the UK is thrown away and wasted. This project is a search for solutions to reduce food waste and promote a healthier, more sensible approach towards food. In this modern society children are brought up witnessing waste and constant search for perfection. What are the consequences of these issues?

The focus of this project is on the unperceived or dismissed values of food and on how potentials of generated imperfections through storage are perceived. In order to avoid nurturing a wasteful next generation I created an educational picture book for children, to discourage waste by valuing imperfection.
