Payment online

Our preferred method of payment is for students to pay online - please see details on the paying online section on our website.

International Payments

If you wish to pay in a foreign currency please see our International Payments option powered by Western Union Business Solutions.

Direct Debit

You may wish to pay your fees by Direct Debit Termly (October, January and April), or over 5 months (October to February). Please complete the Direct Debit Mandate Form and return to the Student Centre before Enrolment. You will be notified of the exact amounts and dates of each payment 10 days prior to the first payment being made.

Direct bank transfer

You may wish to instruct your bank to make payment directly to the College's bank account.

Please note: If you choose this method of payment you must e-mail studentpayments ( You MUST quote as a reference your student number first and then your full name.

If you are paying in a foreign currency, we recommend that in order to avoid bank charges and to get a better exchange rate you use the Western Union Business Solutions option above.

Paying by credit card or debit card

To pay by debit or credit card, telephone 020 7919 7930 during the hours of 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. Please quote your invoice number or give your full name and address with the reason for the payment.

We only accept the following cards:

  • MasterCard
  • Maestro
  • Visa
  • Visa Electron
  • Switch
  • Solo

Please note that we do not accept American Express or Diner's Club.

If your card is not issued in the UK, you have a choice: Either the transaction will be in your own currency and the exact rate will be given, based on Reuters Wholesales Interbank exchange rate plus 3% international conversion margin to replace the charge from your card company. Alternatively, you can choose to pay in GBP where you will be subject to a conversion fee or charge by your card company related to the value of the transaction which cannot be given at the time of the transaction. 

Payment in person

Payments may be made at the Cash Office in the Richard Hoggart Building, Room 198 (next to Security) during the hours of:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday open 11am-1pm
Tuesday and Thursday open 2pm-4pm

You are advised not to pay large sums in cash. If you do, the College is obliged by the Money Laundering Regulation 2003 to report the amount to the relevant authorities.

Payment by cheque or post

Payment must be made in full. Cheques must be in UK pounds sterling, and need to be made payable to "Goldsmiths College". Please quote your invoice number or give your full name and address with the reason for the payment.
