Meet the student community leaders in the Department of Art.
Hannah Dempsey (she/her), second year undergraduate
“Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm a second-year Art undergrad. I study art because I love to experiment and create. In my spare time, I like to visit galleries, host art events and go to life drawing. A fun fact about me is that I'm ambidextrous! I became an SCL to host events to enrich the student experience and bring people together.”
Patrycja Chlipala (she/her), second year undergraduate
“Hey, my name is Patrycja and I’m in my second year of Fine Art studies. I am excited about peer learning and collaboration with like-minded individuals and to make use of more Art Practice Areas. I’m currently exploring metal sculpture with sonic and interactive functions and drawing a lot of inspiration from sounds and experimental noise-making in my practice.
I became a Student Community Leader because I want to positively change power dynamics and social barriers and provide students with opportunities to have a voice while studying at Goldsmiths to make the experience at university a positive one.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking new recipes with friends, watching foreign-language films, allotment gardening, and visiting art exhibitions for inspiration. I love discovering new music and frequently attending gigs with friends. I like to start each day with a morning coffee! I love learning languages - I can speak Polish, English, and some Spanish & German too!”
