Crafting Space

Article

Origin Interactive: Crafting Space by Alinah Azadeh in association with the Crafts Council. Textile structure made in collaboration with sculptor Willow Winston.

For this audacious exhibition the Constance Howard Gallery acted in an advisory capacity. In the very early stages of the project discussions took place about possible ways of materialising the ideas behind the concept. The working contact arose out of the Artistic Research and Development Grant 2007-2008.This grant has been awarded to Alinah to undertake a period of research to develop two of her previous projects ‘The Loom Project’ and ‘Mother to Mother’. Professor Janis Jefferies acted as curatorial mentor for the project.
