New Students: IT account and email

Once you complete your online pre-enrolment your Goldsmiths IT account will be set up.

Getting your account

It will take up to 24 hours after completing online pre-enrolment for your account details to be emailed to you.

Check your spam filter if you haven't received your email. Contact the IT Service Desk if it has not arrived.

You will be emailed with a username and password. Make sure you change your password to something secure and memorable.

Complete the security questions, which will make it much easier to reset your account if you forget your password.

Accessing your email

Your email will be set up along with your account.

See our email help page for how to access it and, most importantly, add email to your phone.

Free Wi-Fi

Once you get on campus, you'll be able to access free Wi-Fi in all our buildings and our accommodation.

Timetable and Student App

You can use your account details to log into the Goldsmiths Student App to see your personal timetable.

If you already have the Welcome App use the tile at the bottom of the home screen to switch to the full app.

Get Office 365 for free

Through Goldsmiths' agreement with Microsoft, all our students can use Office 365 for free.  This includes:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • OneNote
  • Outlook
  • Skype
  • OneDrive cloud storage
