Organised by the Department of Visual Cultures in collaboration with the Centre for Research Architecture & the Centre for Cultural Studies
Shanna Ketchum-Heap of Birds is a noted critic and art historian of contemporary Native American art. Her
articles have appeared in major publications across the globe including Third Text (London), Estrago (Latin
America), Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, the Massachusetts College of Art (USA) and
the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. Ketchum-Heap of Birds lectures, both nationally and
internationally, about contemporary issues in Native art. She also teaches in the Native Studies program at the
University of Oklahoma.
The event is free and no booking is required. All are welcome.
