Event overview
Goldsmiths Reunite is a series of global alumni events celebrating the Goldsmiths alumni community. For one week in May, Alumni Ambassadors will also be hosting their own events around the world!
Goldsmiths Reunite is a series of global alumni events launched in Athens in April 2014. Each event celebrates the Goldsmiths alumni community which consists of more than 50,000 former students based all over the world.
To coincide with each event, we also launched the Alumni Ambassador Programme to establish new ways of staying in touch with alumni based on all sides of the globe. For one week in May, our Alumni Ambassadors will be hosting their own series of events around the world including exhibitions, screenings, talks and even a cruise! We are calling this special week of alumni-led events: Around The World In Seven Days.
Dadaism was born in 1916 at the Cabaret Voltaire. Here Hans Arp, Hugo Ball and other exiled artists got together to question the whole idea of the existing arts. Events at the cabaret proved pivotal in the founding of this anarchic art movement. With the reopening of the Cabaret Voltaire in October 2004, Dadaism experienced an upsurge and the Cabaret Voltaire is due to celebrate its 100-year anniversary in the spring of 2016.
Cabaret Volataire is the perfect setting setting for meeting fellow Goldsmiths alumni for an evening of drinks, food and conversation.
