Event overview
The Expo is the culmination of a year spent exploring the repercussions of techno-cultural shifts and flows in society today, and critical examinations of the code by which we live our lives.
Reflecting the MA’s methodology, the Expo is experimental in its nature, and critical thought arises from both the process of production as well as the final product. Responses to the curatorial theme range from the literal to more figurative and abstract, computational to physical and participatory. Projects shown blur art methodologies with the more formal processes of computational and cultural theory, and seek to critically examine the world around us through the practice of making, doing and creating.
Participating are:
Jing Feng
Verena Hermann
James La Marre
Jasmine Liang
Samantha Penn
David Peroni
Tom Roberts
Oliver Spall
Ge Tian
Juan Pablo de la Vega
The Expo will feature installed project work alongside a series of performances and screenings that will be scheduled throughout the duration of the show. To sign up for screenings, or for regular updates regarding the Expo, please follow on Twitter or like on Facebook.
