Event overview
Learning to be Mindful. Book group taster session.
Have you ever wondered if it is possible to find a less stressful way of living?
Here in the Chaplaincy we love the idea and are constantly trying new things to help us find that inner core of peace and calm!
So, if you have ever wondered if ‘Mindfulness’ is something you would like to try why not come along to an open meeting about a new book group. We will be working through a book called ‘Mindfulness’ by Mark Williams and Danny Penman, which is a self guided version of the 8 week mindfulness course. The plan would be to meet weekly through the summer to do a practice together and to talk about how our personal attempts to ‘be mindful’ have gone during the preceding week.
The open meeting will offer the chance to hear how the group will work and experience a couple of short mindful practices as a chance to see if it might be for you.
We will meet on the 8th July at 2pm in 31 Laurie Grove
