If English isn’t your first language, you will need to meet our English language requirements to study with us. These are listed on our online prospectus pages.

The table below shows the English language proficiency qualifications we accept, and the level you need to study at undergraduate level at Goldsmiths. We prefer IELTS because it shows us which areas of your English might need to be improved.

Sometimes we may offer you a place on a Pre-sessional English Language course, to improve your standard of English in time for your main course of study with us.

We also offer International Pathways, which can help prepare you for degree level study at Goldsmiths or another UK institution.

Extension Degrees

The minimum English language requirement for Extension Degrees is a score of 5.0 in IELTS or equivalent.
