Music Week Double Bill:
Goldsmiths Sinfonia and Chorus conducted by Alexander Ivashkin perform:
Haydn: Symphony No 101 in D major “The Clock”
Gubaidulina: 'Introitus' with Drosostalitsa Moraiti (piano soloist)
Mendelssohn-Korngold: Midsummer Nights Dream (suite from the 1934 film) with Casey Evans (soprano) – UK Premiere
Prokofiev: Toast to Stalin (Zdravitsa) op 85 (1939) - cantata for choir and orchestra

Followed by The Music Week Ensemble, led by Matthew Herbert, featuring all 3 years of Popular Music Students.
This is a joint project of the Popular Music course, Accidental Records, Serious & The British Council.

Matthew Herbert: Resound - a celebration of the British Council's 75th birthday at the Barbican on 26 October.
