Lunchtime concert featuring music for percussion and clarinets

As part of the Department of Music's annual PureGold festival, the Samek/Brannick Duo make a welcome return to Goldsmiths, exploring the rich and eclectic range of music written for clarinets, saxophones and percussion.

The Samek/Brannick Duo are Victoria Soames Samek - whose specialism in the area of contemporary music has resulted in over 30 commissions and dedications on both clarinet and bass clarinet – and Chris Brannick, one of Britain’s foremost contemporary percussion soloists and chamber players.

‘Victoria Soames Samek…a sensitive feeling for style and a seemingly effortless technique’
Musical Times

‘Chris Brannick’s percussion virtuosity is fantastic’
Evening Standard
