How to apply

To apply for DSA, you will have to show written proof of your disability to your funding body. This must come from an appropriate medical professional. Please read the information about Medical Evidence letters to clarify what you need to provide.

If you have a specific learning difficulty you will need to provide a detailed Educational Psychologists report.  Please read the report information to make sure your report is suitable.

Application forms

• AHRC for students who are receiving a bursary from the AHRC
• NHS Social Work Bursary Application form and notes - for Social Work postgraduate students ONLY. Social Work Undergraduates should apply to Student Finance England
• DSA1 form & Guidance Notes for all students who do not fall into the above categories. All applications are made to Student Finance England.
