National Student Survey (NSS)

What is the National Student Survey (NSS)?
The NSS is the most important part of the Student Voice Programme.  It’s a national initiative, run since 2005 across the UK, which asks final year undergraduates for feedback on the student learning experience.

Every university in the country runs the NSS. It lets everyone see how Goldsmiths compares to other universities in the UK on a number of levels; academically, socially and organisationally.

Completed by final-year undergraduates, it allows them to reflect on their time at Goldsmiths and let the College know how we've done.

Who can complete the survey?
All undergraduates in their final year of study.

When does it happen?
It opens at the start of the Spring term and stays open for many weeks. The start of the Spring term is the best time to complete it.

How long does it take?
This online survey only takes about ten minutes to complete.

Are my answers anonymous?
Yes.  None of your responses will ever be attributed to you.

Can I opt out?
Yes.  Participation is completely voluntary.  You can either simply not participate, or respond when contacted to opt out. However, we're trying to get as many students as possible to participate so we can get the fullest picture of what students think of Goldsmiths.

Is my data protected
Yes.  All surveys conform with Goldsmiths’ stringent Data Protection Policies
