Confirmation of status
If you need confirmation of your status as a student of Goldsmiths please contact the Enrolments and Records Office, e-mail studentrecords@gold.ac.uk.

Please indicate if the letter is for council tax or visa purposes and the UK address to which you want the letter sent. If opening a bank account please give the bank name and branch (location).

We aim to respond to such enquiries within 10 working days, but please allow for delays during start of session in September/October.

Changes of address
You are responsible for keeping Goldsmiths informed of any changes to your home or local (term-time) address. Important information about enrolment, examinations, fees or graduation may be posted to your address, and it is critical that your address details are kept up-to-date.

If you do move or your details are incorrect contact the Enrolments and Records Office, email studentrecords@gold.ac.uk quoting your student reference number, name, date of birth, and the new address (indicate if it is your home or local address).

Changes in name or gender
It is Goldsmiths’ policy to record students with their legal name as given on the formal proof of photo-id shown at enrolment, i.e. passport, driver’s licence photo-card or national identity card. Formal notice of a change, e.g. marriage certificate or deed poll, must be shown before any change will be made to your records.

If you have undergone gender re-assignment and wish to amend the details recorded by the College you must show your Gender Recognition Certificate (as published by the Tribunals Service Gender Recognition Panel).

Please bring your original documents to Enrolments and Records (Room 122, Richard Hoggart Building). The Office is open Monday-Friday, 10am–4pm.
