Professional organisations
In 1996
Co-founded NotCut, with the artists Ori Gersht and Robert
Davies. NotCut set up and manages a studio complex in South London.
The space is equipped with a colour darkroom used by visiting contemporary
photographers and the studios house 13 artists working in various
disciplines. Through NotCut, I have also been involved in curating
exhibitions such as ‘Lightness & Weight’ at the
Custard Factory in Birmingham and ‘Turf Accountants’ at
the Economist Plaza, London.
Since 2003
Appointed as a member of
the organising committee for Braziers International Artist’s
Workshop. This is an artist–run initiative that provides
opportunities for exchange and dialogue between UK and overseas
artists at an annual workshop in Oxfordshire.
2006
Assembly is
a residency programme that was founded in the Summer of 2006
by Abigail Reynolds and Andy Harper. Based in an old Wesleyan chapel
in St. Just, Cornwall the space will provide studio space
and accommodation for 5/6 artists. The residencies and events will
be trans-disciplinary and draw knowledge from the arts and sciences.
