Join us for a Private View on Tuesday 5th December between 5pm-8pm for the Ephemeral Moments Exhibition: The Photographic Art of Cesar Vera 1981-1984, 4th - 8th December 2023.
Professional photographer, Cesar Vera will be returning to Goldsmiths for a special exhibition displaying images taken during his time studying Art and Design at Goldsmiths in the 1980's. Originally from Mexico, Cesar Vera's photographs gained him recognition alongside renowned photographers such as Bill Brandt and Cartier Bresson. Now based in New York City, Cesar Vera's photography focuses on fashion designers, celebrities and a number of specialist projects. Goldsmiths has played a major role in Vera's success, he says;
“My time at Goldsmiths was marked by artistic exploration and cross-pollination. I found myself in the company of fellow students from various art-oriented disciplines, including silk screen printing, acting, dance, music, and more. I couldn't resist capturing the essence of their creativity through my lens. Those days were incredibly stimulating.”
